Death is an imperative rite of passage. Be in the moment with your loved one when death occurs. When you are ready to discuss a natural ceremony, understand your options.
• Interra Eco is for those who do not want chemical preservation and wish for a simple graveside ceremony using the clothing of their choice, with a natural casket, at the cemetery of their choice, which likely requires a permeable, rigid outer burial container.
• Interra Natural is similar but requires all-natural clothing materials and could also involve a service at a church or Mueller Memorial funeral home.
• Interra Pure is all-natural, could involve a service at a church or Mueller Memorial, but must be buried at a designated green burial site that permits a biodegradable Interra casket that does not permit a rigid outer burial container.
The staff at Interra invites the family to participate in the natural cleansing of their loved one. We use only all-natural oils and products to preform a gentle washing and anointing prior to dressing or shrouding.
Interra Eco can allow any clothing.
Interra Natural allows natural materials (cotton, wool, linen, etc.) and non-plastic fasteners (zippers, buttons, etc.).
Interra Pure allows only all-natural, biodegradable materials (no zippers, hooks or artificial materials).
When we add a service at a church or in one of our buildings there are many additional costs that arise including building preparation, professional staffing, coordination, vehicles, local transportation, additional care for the body and thermal preservation which are included in the total service fee.
All Interra Green Burial services include free access to Grief Compass, an exclusive program which offers just a little bit of help navigating loss.
