Dr. Leslie C. Bautista of West St. Paul, MN, died on November 29, 2024. She is the daughter of Dr. Humberto C. and Carol J. (Boggs) Bautista. She graduated from Ohio Dominican College with a Bachelors in Psychology and went on to Wright State University where she earned a combined Masters and Doctorate in Psychology and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology. She recently retired as a staff psychologist from Student Counseling Services at the University of Minnesota.
Leslie is an amazing and unique person. She was intensely private, fiercely independent, and strong to the point of stubbornness. She was also quiet, dignified, thoughtful, kind, and caring. She devoted her life to helping others, and she treated everyone with respect. Leslie had an enormous intellect and a quirky sense of humor. She loved all things television. She marched to the beat of a different drummer in a world that often doesn’t know what to do with people who don’t conform. Leslie was, is, and always will be uniquely herself.
Leslie is predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister Lisa. She is survived by her precious and amazing daughter Annie, whom she loves very much. Annie drew the picture that accompanies this obituary. Words cannot express how much Leslie loves being Annie’s mother. She is also survived by her sister Gina and her brother Marc, who love and miss her dearly.
